Aflac Pays Goldman Sachs $825M to buy back shares
SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial via COMTEX) -- Aflac Inc. said late Tuesday it has paid Goldman Sachs $825 million to repurchase a "variable number" of its shares.
Goldman Sachs will deliver shares to Aflac in December 2008 and January 2009, with final settlement occurring upon termination of the companies' agreement in February 2009.......
